The Hooked Model was created by Nir Eyal and is a framework for conceptualizing habit-forming products, describing users’ interactions as they go through four main phases of the product: trigger, action, variable reward, and investment.

When to use it?

You're looking for ways to keep users coming back; to keep them "hooked" into using your app or product/service. You want to increase user engagement, stickiness, and retention. The Hooked Model is a great way to start conceptualizing some ideas.
